When you create your transaction, you may be prompted to provide documents to support your order (this is to satisfy compliance requirements).
The types of documents requested are generally assessed on a case-by-case basis. However, generally, these are the documents that would be required.
- 1. Source of Funds
- Any form of documents that proves your source of funds.
For example: bank statement for savings; salary slip for salary
- Any form of documents that proves your source of funds.
- 2. Purpose of Transfer
- Any form of documents that supports your purpose of the transfer.
For example: invoice for the purchase of goods and services; offer letter for education; proof of residence
- Any form of documents that supports your purpose of the transfer.
- 3. Verifying the Recipient
- Any form of a government-issued ID belonging to your recipient
For example: Passport, Identification card, Business registration certificate, proof of business ownership, business card
- Any form of a government-issued ID belonging to your recipient
Documents are generally requested on a one-off basis for similar transactions, however, it is still up to the discretion of the compliance department to request for documents. Documents are usually uploaded on the platform, but on occasions, you may be requested for further clarification/ documents.
No worries though, we do take the privacy of your information seriously and only a handful of trained MoneyMatch staff will have visibility of these documents.
